في El Rehab, Cairo, Cairo (30.063580 31.488990)

I was shopping at this Supermarket as I regularly do. I live in Rehab City
and I am not Egyptian. The guy at the deli corner (the counter where they
sell cheese, olives ... etc) harassed me for the second time. This time,
the one who started was another guy working in the shop but not wearing
uniform.
The incident started when I was asking about a commodity. I looked around
to find someone in uniform and asked a guy and before he answered me,
someone came rushing and said: eh, eh, eh? (Egyptian Arabic). I immediately
said: What do you want? And why do you talk in this tone (tone was clearly
disrespectful and derogatory)? I asked: Do you work here? And how would I
even know, you are not wearing a uniform.
Obviously, his attempt to intimidate me did not work, so, he simply started
gossiping loud with the man at the deli that I am a "bad" woman and that he
saw me here and there!!!!! All his own making but another attempt to
intimidate and tarnish me since I stood up to his first attempt.
The one at the deli corner joined in and they engaged in a long
conversation in the same line making sure I hear it.
I continued my shopping feeling very hurt and reported the three workers to
the cashier (the one who initiated and 2 at the cashier) but I don't think
it would help. The cashier was simply another worker with no authority.
I then left the shop and decided to report and stigmatize these people.
Note: I know the face of the harasser at the deli corner. There is usually
an older very decent man who stands there, but this younger worker never
misses a chance to harass whenever the older man is not around.
