Around the end of August 2012. I was visiting an international hospital in Maadi, when one of the male nurses or doctor student(I have no idea)took his change harassing me, he rushed out my partner for paperwork. I had no idea what he was telling him cause I don't speak Arabic, But it was clear he was gonna get my temperature. When we were alone he locked my arm in the blood -pressure meter, and put a thermometer under my arm. Then he started asking weird personal questions, touching my boobs asking if it hurt. My arm was starting to get blue and it was clear to me this was not a usual temperature measurement. I was speechless, helping my own arm out of the blood-pressure band, while he rushed of and my partner came in. I told him what happened and he arranged the paperwork and try to get the boy fired. Assaulter was denying the whole thing. I reported my story on a hospital paper that might had ended up in the garbage, and God
only knows what might happen to woman in hospitals in Cairo when they are unconscious.
